At Mead, community is woven into the way we learn, grow, and experience school. In a small, close-knit community, children are known deeply, relationships matter, and everyone has a role to play.
We believe that learning happens through connection — with teachers, classmates, ideas, and the world around us. Children learn to listen to different perspectives, collaborate, take risks, care for others, and contribute their own ideas and talents.
Connected to a Larger World
Our sense of community extends beyond the Mead campus. In keeping with our mission, we encourage children to engage thoughtfully with the world around them and to recognize their ability to make a difference. Through initiatives, partnerships, and shared experiences — from welcoming local artists to campus for ACT Day to collecting donations and raising funds for local organizations — students experience what it means to contribute to something larger than themselves.
Our community brings together children, teachers, families, and the broader community around us, creating a place where people know one another, support one another, and grow together.
