The Art Center buzzed with activity last week as students, faculty, and parents cut and sewed bags made from donated fabric. Adam's Recycled Tote Bag Workshop brought attention to the threat that plastic bags pose to the environment, and how each of us can make a difference! We made close to 80 bags and the students and staff will continue to make bags until we run out of fabric.

Within the first 2 weeks of classes, the Pre-K students have already been practicing their "ready positions" in their Physical Development classes!
Overhand throwing is one of the many fun manipulative skills that these students will learn as the school year progresses. Not only is it an essential life skill to learn how to throw properly, it is also a great way for young students to feel instant success!
As part of their lessons, students practiced throwing a beanbag at a shape on the wall to help reinforce throwing out and up, and also pointing to a target.
