Recycled Shopping Tote Workshop

The Art Center buzzed with activity last week as students, faculty, and parents cut and sewed bags made from donated fabric. Adam's Recycled Tote Bag Workshop brought attention to the threat that plastic bags pose to the environment, and how each of us can make a difference! We made close to 80 bags and the students and staff will continue to make bags until we run out of fabric.

Exciting New Addition to our Staff!

It is with great pleasure that we announce KK Mink's addition to The Mead School Staff this fall. KK will serve as the K/1/2 Co-Curriculum Teacher in Stacey Mink's Center, and yes, KK is Stacey's sister!

KK is no stranger to The Mead School, having attended Mead herself, graduating in 1998. She was a member of the first class to graduate from Mead's Riverbank Road campus. KK comes to Mead from Connecticut Friends School, where she has worked for six years in their 3's & 4's programs. During this time, she worked closely with Stacey, and many of us already know KK as an active member of The Mead Community. KK has a deep appreciation for her time at Mead, and is delighted to rejoin the community that has had such an impact on her life and view on whole child learning.
