As part of their World Religions Social Studies curriculum, 5th and 6th grades students traveled to Temple Sholom in Greenwich. They were greeted by Rabbi Mitchell Hurwitz, who thoughtfully spent time explaining the roots of Judaism and then toured the group around the temple. He highlighted what was in the main sanctuary, bringing to life objects and the meaning of services that the group had discussed in Social Studies classes. Students listened intently, asked questions and then wrote thank you notes in appreciation of the time that Rabbi Hurvitz spent with them.
