How do we Fuel Curiosity?

Mead students are encouraged to be fearlessly curious.  We believe that all questions are good questions, ‘doing’ advances the depth of inquiry, and questioning the answer is as important as answering the question.

  • Individual learning projects allow students to dive deep in areas of interest

  • Curricular emphasis on asking questions and questioning answers

  • “Doing” sparks questions – so our curriculum is project-based
  • Elective opportunities for all students 3rd grade and above
  • Makers space, photography, STEAM curriculum give students opportunities to ‘take it apart’ to see how it works
  • Small class sizes and nurturing environment encourage fearless curiosity

Curiosity in Action

At Mead you’re pushed to develop your own interests and passions - and as a result, I’m good at finding things that interest me!  G. Steinberg, alumnus
