Parents/guardians and students of grades 3 through 8 must review, sign and return the Technology Policy contract to their Home Center Director at the beginning of the school year.
Students may not use any technological devices until this contract has been signed and submitted.
Computers and other technology are considered very important parts of our program. Appropriate and proper use of them is taken seriously. All school students use our computer center. Technology is used to support and strengthen our educational program. Students who bring laptops or tablets to school may not access the internet except through our student wireless network. The student wireless network connects to curriculum based programs and our printers. Personal laptops and tablets are only to be used to support the school’s educational program.
Personal technology including phones and computer devices with social media and games are not to be used during the school day. We cannot take responsibility for damage or loss of these devices. Phones must be turned off and stored in backpacks during the school day.
Parents and guardians have access to a general usage computer located in the Parent Center. The School’s Lobby and Front Hall are Technology-Free Zones. Students must put their devices into their backpacks upon arrival at the school, and remain "off" until they've departed the building at the end of the day. Devices include, but are not limited to, iPhones/iTouches/iPads, etc. Should a student need to contact a parent or caregiver during the course of the day, they may do so after checking in with their Home Center Director.
