Poetry Month Celebration and Sharing

Throughout the month of April, students in grades K-8 have been studying the art of poetry in their Language Arts classes. Every "Schedule B" day, the students have enjoyed a session of time called "Drop Everything and Write", in which they ventured outside and either wrote poetry of their own or read poetry of their choosing. 

In honor of the students' work this month, all had the opportunity to share a poem they had written with their peers and teachers. Immediately following this sharing, students were invited to hang their poems along the stairwell for the community to enjoy.
