Mead Alum Releases Picture Book "K is for Kindness"

Risa Horiuchi, 1998 graduate of The Mead School, is an illustrator of picture books. She studied illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She is inspired by the work of Patrick McDonnell, Charlotte Voake, Bill Watterson, and Jenni Desmond. Her upcoming book, a collaboration with her sister, Rina, is called K is for Kindness. It is an alphabet book about animals doing kind things for each other.

We will soon be fortunate to have a signed copy of Risa's book on campus to share with our students!
