Marine Science Trip to Cape Cod
The Marine Science class had a fabulous time on their 4-day trip to Cape Cod this week! Museum visits, a spectacular whale watch on the ocean, and marsh exploration were just some of the activities that kept them busy. This trip is the culmination of their study of marine life on the Connecticut shore as well as their deep dive into the history of the whaling industry.
On Wednesday's boat trip the students had good, close looks at Minke whales - so close they could even hear them breathing. The boat crew also made sure to show the students something BIGGER…the second largest animal ever on planet Earth: a Finback whale.
Today the students departed their hostel today and enjoyed lovely weather during their Mystic visit!
