Community Performance of Macbeth

Community Performance of Macbeth

Led by Mead's Curriculum Director of Drama, Darleen Hickok, the students have been working very hard over the last few months to produce their own interpretation of William Shakespeare's Macbeth. The students’ ideas, designs, interpretation, and vision guided all of the decisions. Each student not only had an acting role, but was also responsible for a production job. The process was both challenging and exciting as students were given the opportunity to take risks and build their confidence. Somewhere in the process, each student accomplished something that they never thought they could do.

On Thursday evening, families, alumni, staff, and students gathered in The Canning Theatre for the Performing Arts for the 7th and 8th grades community performance of Macbeth. The actors put on an exciting and emotional performance, leaving the audience amazed at the professionalism, talent, and passion they witnessed throughout.
