Why is Mead right for your toddler?

Year-Round Dependability & Flexibility

To provide your family with the most flexibility, our doors open at 6:15 am and close at 6:00 pm. Our program is in session September through August. We close for federal holidays, Winter Break and program development.

Flexible Scheduling

We offer a variety of enrollment options. Talk to us about your specific needs and we’ll help find the option that’s best for you.

Bright & Spacious Classrooms

Our architecture and interior design reflect an openness that encourages exploration and discovery. Spacious classrooms and engaging materials evolve with the children, supporting optimum growth and development every step of the way.

We have three distinct Toddler Centers for students who range in age from 12 to 36 months. Each classroom is a well-planned learning environment with developmentally appropriate materials and child-sized furnishings.

Engaging Curriculum

Every child is born with a unique way of approaching the world and develops unique qualities that come together to form a distinct character. Our toddler teachers apply what they know about each individual child as they plan and pace the day, creating a supportive structure that allows for flexibility.

Our Toddler teachers continue to nurture trusting relationships and support positive separation from parents/guardians, providing a bridge between a toddler’s conflicting need for security and independence. As children transition from the Infant Center, individual nap and feeding schedules are replaced with predictable and consistent routines where the needs of individuals and the needs of the group are consistently evaluated for optimum balance.

Our Toddler curriculum encourages exploration, engages the senses, supports autonomy and honors the individual. It is a curriculum of respectful, responsive and relationship-based care and education.

Exceptional Teachers

Our experienced teaching staff is dedicated to each and every child. Our teachers understand the importance of relationships and create an environment where children feel safe, valued and empowered. This includes helping each child move from the small culture of the home to the still small, but significantly larger society of the classroom.

Our Toddler teaching teams collectively represent over 50 years of early childhood experience. Each teacher contributes a unique set of skills and perspectives. They believe parents/guardians are meaningful partners and are eager to understand family values and support cultural continuity between home and school.
