PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Students will explore the wonderful world of Board Games! They will have fun playing a variety of old-fashioned games such as checkers and chess, to strategic games like Stratego and Risk.  While having fun they'll also be putting their critical thinking to good use, exercising memory formation and cognitive skills, and reducing stress.

This introductory woodworking course acquaints the student with the essential principles of woodworking.
We will use a variety of tools and techniques in crafting with wood, including a bandsaw and turning lathe. Emphasis is placed on proper
technique, safety, and planning ahead. Projects include a tool caddy,
birdhouse and bench.

Story Book Theatre and Movie Making combine in this class filled with fun and creativity! Students will adapt a favorite story, act it out and turn it into a movie.

We will use the students’ favorite stories,  The Mead School’s collection of costumes, props and set pieces to combine theatre and film.

Participation is strongly encouraged of all the kids.  We moved our boys from another school and never looked back.
