PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Students will enjoy a fun after school experience with a variety of different activities.  No class will be the same!  From Gym games and outdoor activities, to cooking, Tinkering, Lego Builds and more…

Each week will keep the students guessing, engaged and smiling!

Learn all the techniques of working with clay in this introductory class.  From throwing clay on the pottery wheel, to hand-building, carving and glazing.  Projects include cups, bowls, mugs and a Thanksgiving relish tray.

This course is designed for both the beginner and more experienced clay student.

Students in grades 1-7 at all levels of play are invited to participate.  Classes will be instructed by a chess professional following the curriculum of the Chess Club of Fairfield County, designed to build logical and critical thinking, develop patience and concentration, develop executive functions, and connect students with the global and historical evolution of chess strategy.

Story Book Theatre and Movie Making combine in this class filled with fun and creativity! Students will adapt a favorite story, act it out and turn it into a movie.

We will use the students’ favorite stories, The Mead School’s collection of costumes, props and set pieces to combine theatre and film.

Tennis clinic will introduce forehand, backhand, volley and serve and use 10 and under tennis teaching methods along with red and orange tennis balls specifically designed for the younger player. Students will learn to play tennis while also learning fundamentals of the game in a fun environment.  Children can bring their own racquet or purchase one from the instructor for $25.

Participation is strongly encouraged of all the kids.  We moved our boys from another school and never looked back.
