One of the busiest rooms in the school is our Toddler 1 Center! These young students are becoming more and more independent each day, exploring new materials, and forging new friendships. The children’s skills with materials develop by practicing them routinely.
This past week has been filled with sensory play, which is especially engaging for children of this age. Sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain's pathways, which lead to a child's ability to complete more complex learning tasks. Did you know that sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving skills, and social skills?
