There has been great excitement among the 6th-8th Grades students as they prepared to stage Shakespeare's Pericles, Prince of Tyre. This performance is a bi-annual tradition for our older students and considered an important tradition and rite of passage, so the whole community was determined that, despite the challenges this year, the show must go on!
Roles have been assigned, actors have memorized and run lines, the art center was abuzz with students prepping backdrops, sets, and props, costumes have been fitted and dress-rehearsals are done.
The production went up just before Spring Break and Kindergarten-Grade 5 students and faculty were able to watch the actors perform 3 key scenes outside on our field.
We typically gather in The Canning Center for Performing Arts as a community to support and cheer for the students. This year, however, circumstances will not allow us to gather, and the play will be filmed and shared with the community on April 9th. Details will be forthcoming.
