At Mead, we aim to help students make sense of the society they live in, find ways to address the problems in it, and work hard to make it better.
To start off the year studying Social Justice, students in grades 7 and 8 were presented with 5 phrases and were asked to write what each phrase meant to them. Then, students revisited each poster to respond to others' thoughts with constructive criticism, additional thoughts, or questions. This began the process of establishing their knowledge of some of the concepts they will cover this year.
