|Every Mead family belongs to the Parent Association. The Parent Association provides social and educational opportunities throughout the year. Our purpose is to create camaraderie within the Mead community, to facilitate communication, and to support the school financially. Through active involvement, parents and guardians contribute their voice, energy, and ideas. Being present at meetings and functions conveys a commitment to our children’s education. Parent Association meetings are open to all Mead parents and guardians.|
Volunteering is a wonderful way to make new friends and to learn more about our school. Parents volunteer as PA officers and general volunteers, as well as Home Center Parents, Committee Chairpersons and members of various PA Committees.
Annual Fundraiser: This committee plans and orchestrates our major annual spring fundraising event. We will host a Tag Sale on May 4, 2019.
Baker Creek Seed Sale: Get your plants ready for Spring planting with these wonderful organic seeds! Seed Sale begins in January 2019.
Fall Festival & Touch-a-Truck: The Festival Committee plans a fun filled afternoon with bouncy houses, touch-a-truck, face painting, games, music and more. October 13, 2018.
Gift Wrap & Holiday Items Sale: Items available online and packets from Charleston Wrap. Begins September 5, 2018/Ends September 25, 2018.
Grandparents & Special Visitors Day: Parents work in partnership with the Director of Admissions to make this wonderful day fun and successful for all. November 19, 2018.
Mead Merchandise: This committee selects, orders, and sells (and buys!) Mead School spirit wear and products. It's a great way to display our school spirit!
Staff Appreciation Day: This yearly May event is focused exclusively on our beloved staff. Luncheon and treats are provided by parents and students. May 31, 2019.
Home Center Parents: Each grade has Home Center Parents who organize social get-togethers and support the needs of the parents, guardians and teachers. Home Center Parents also act as coordinators for the various PA events.
